Legend of Zelda Character Guide: Impa

Hey everyone! Sheik here! Now before I start I want to tell you about what I will be doing for a while. I am going to be posting character guides, which are pretty much just information about a certain character in the Zelda games. Today I want to do my first one! Wow! Exciting! Well, kind of anyways. (Like always, SPOILERS) Today I want to focus on one character and just give an overview of them, with some info and other things. Today, I am going to talk about Impa.

Impa has many major roles in many different Zelda games. today, I am going to talk about her part in Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, and Hyrule Warriors. First, I will talk about Impa from Skyward Sword, as shown in the above picture.

In Skyward Sword, as most of you know, Zelda falls from Skyloft to the ground by a tornado. Like any good person, Link goes on a journey to save her. Zelda travels all over the world on her own mission. She is not alone though, she is guided by no other than Impa, who you meet in the Eldin province. At first, it looks like Impa literally hates you. Once you go through the first three temples, she tells you that you were late, and you need to get better for you are not fit to be any hero. Well what a little ray of sunshine. During your journey, you also meet a little old lady in the temple of time place. You just call her grandma but actually, there is more to her than you may think. Anyways, I'm going to skip along a little bit. Eventually you win. Yay! You are about to go back to your own time when Zelda tells Impa to come with you. She says no, she has to guard the temple. Zelda is heart broken and she gives Impa her bracelet. When you go back into your own time, you see grandma wearing a familiar bracelet. Zelda recognizes her, and Impa says her goodbyes. She then turns to dust.

Our next Impa is Impa from Ocarina of Time. In this game, she is Zelda's caretaker. When you first meet Princess Zelda in the gardens of Hyrule castle, Impa is the one who escorts you back out. While she does so, she teaches you Zelda's lullaby for your ocarina. This is a very useful song, which you can read all about in my previous post. Once you defeat the first three temples, you head back to Hyrule castle. On your way, you can see Impa riding a horse quickly away from the castle with Zelda on the back. Zelda throws you the Ocarina of Time, which is a whole other story. After awhile, you wake up and you are an adult! Wow, if only it was that easy. Zelda is nowhere to be seen. Eventually when you make your way to Kakariko village, you find Impa. She explains how she belongs to an ancient race called the Sheikah. She also tells you the village used to be the home of the Sheikah. Lets skip ahead quite a bit. Once you beat the shadow temple, she awakens as the sage of shadow. After that she joins the other sages in the temple of time.

The next Impa is from Hyrule Warriors. Yes, I know, a lot of you are like groan, but its not that bad. This game is not cannon. (Not in the timeline). In this game she is one of the main characters that is introduced at the very beginning of the game. She assists everyone through the game, and is a playable character. I actually like Hyrule warriors quite a bit. (Yes, mostly because you get to play as Midna who is the best ever).

Well guys that's what I have for you today! I hope you enjoyed, and make sure you leave any comments you have in.. well... the comments. Make sure you also check out our Instagram @thenintenbrosblog. Also put in your email for post notifications! Until then, bye!!!
