Goodbye Old Friend

Ladies and GentlePenguins. It's happened. Yesterday, Disney discontinued Club Penguin. Even though I haven't played this online game in years, I am still sad.
NeptuneBru2 was my penguin's name. The very first party I ever participated in was the Prehistoric Party. Man oh man. I only played this game for about two years. But I fell in love with it. A moment of silence for every puffle that is left alone. For everyone Penguin stranded. Herbert the Polar Bear got his wish. Club Penguin is gone.
But this isn't the end. Disney has stated that it is bringing a new game for mobile users. Club Penguin Island. It's supposed to be a more modern version of the game, but coins, puffles and memberships/accounts WILL NOT transfer over.
Rest in peace Club Penguin. Tune in next week gamers for more Pokemon Posts!

Waddle on.

Rare Amiibo Items in Breath of The Wild

Hey everyone! Sheik here! Today I want to talk about amiibos again.  coarse not just any amiibo though, Zelda amiibos! I know I have talked quite a bit about this topic and today I am just touching up on a lot of the things I have already mentioned. So first, I will start with the Breath of The Wild amiibos.

So I have talked about the guardian amiibo before, like how it was more expensive, and now that I own the amiibo, I can see why. First, this amiibo size wise, is a lot bigger than the other amiibos based from Legend of Zelda. I personally think that this one is very cool because of his movable arms. They are made from a very flexible rubber and you can out them in any position that you think would look best in your collection. I am not sue why I am so excited about this, but making a guardian flex his arms just brings me joy.

Next, I want to tell you what the other new amiibos actually do in the game. So when you put your amiibo on the joystick, objects will come falling from the sky. Depending on the amiibo, it could be flowers, meat, or even fish. With these, a chest also falls from the sky. This chest often contains elemental arrows, claymores, soldiers bows, or shields. The guardian however, drops crates of screws and shafts and either has a guardian weapon or core inside the chest.

With the old amiibos, the items are very similar. The same things will fall from the sky, along with the chest. Personally, I find the objects from these amiibos to be a lot cooler than the ones with the new ones. First, in the chest you will often find the things that you can find in the Breath of The Wild amiibo chests. Besides those things, you can get some very rare items. From any Link amiibo, you can get clothing. These include a hat, tunic, and pants from every other Zelda game. For example, you can get the Tunic of Twilight. You can also get Sheik's outfit and a few others. From the Ganondarf amiibo, you have a 1% chance of getting the sword of the sages, which is the sword he uses in Twilight Princess. I got this from a chest after twelve tries of trying to get it. There are ways to reset your amiibo to get to use it multiple times a day, to get the thing you want. Another thing that I thought was really cool was that from the Super Smash Zelda amiibo, was that you can get the light bow from Twilight Princess. Also from the chests you can get the light arrows. Getting one of these are about as rare as getting Ganondarf"s sword. I have not yet gotten one of these, but I will tell you when I do. Finally, you can get Epona from the Link Super Smash amiibo. This horse looks very similar to Epona, and has max stats. You do not have to tame her, and you can board her at a stable. I don't think that she is too rare because she was the first thing I ever got from that amiibo.

Well I hope that you enjoyed! If you want to know how to reset your amiibo like I mentioned before, just say so in the comments and I'll tell you how in a future post. Metroid: The Main Weapon

Related image

Hey guys! Samus here! Today, I'm going to be talking about the main weapon used in Metroid. First up, Samus's Power Suit (duh!).
The Power Suit is the main weapon Samus Aran uses throughout the course of the Metroid games. It's literally held together by the sheer power of her will. It provides a laser gun/canon arm, and, of course, protection.
One of the other weapons is the Power Whip. You may not see this as part of Metroid, because we see it the most in Super Smash Brothers, but I love this weapon! I use it the most often in SSB (Super Smash Brothers). You can use it to grab an opponent and pull them to you, and then hit them repeatedly over the head! You can also use it as you're falling off the platform to pull yourself back up. I love this weapon, and it's a great strategy!Image result for samus power suit

Metroid: 5 Random Facts

Image result for metroid

Hey guys! Samus here! Today, I'm going to be giving you five random facts about Metroid. Why? So you can impress your family and friends with your extensive video game knowledge!

1) Samus was originally a man. Yup, that's right. The butt-kicking girl we all love was originally going to be a man. Her gender is only revealed in the original game if you complete it fast enough, and only then at the end-credits. You can then play her without her suit.

2) The title was originally Space Hunter. That's what Samus was referred to before being known as a bounty hunter,

3) The Power Suit is sustained by concentration. Yeah, her sheer will alone keeps her connected.

4) Samus has a little brother. Soloman Aran was revealed to have gone missing and presumed dead. Is he alive? Nobody knows.

5) The reason behind the Morph-Ball. Game designers couldn't draw pixel Samus on all fours to get through tight spaces, so this form was created instead.

Four Things You Probably Didn't Know About Yoshi

Image result for images of yoshi

Hello everyone its Princess Peach, and today I have learned many things about Yoshi. While it may not seem like it, Yoshi is actually a pretty interesting character as I have learned. Without further ado here are four facts you probably didn't know about Yoshi.

1) Yoshi's Full Name
Believe it or not, Yoshi isn't just Yoshi. Yoshi's full name is T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas. No wonder we just call him Yoshi. I mean could you imagine the conversations. " Hey, who are you gonna pick for super smash?" " Oh I was thinking of picking T. Yoshisaur Munchakoopas." I think Ill stick to calling Yoshi, Yoshi.

2) Yoshi has Made Cameos in the Legend of Zelda Series
He appeared in Link's Awakening as a collectible doll and in Ocarina of Time in a portrait.

3) Yoshi is Voiced by K.K Slider
If you don't know why this is a cool fact then you should keep reading. This is cool because K.K Slider is also the dog from Animal Crossing that makes songs and is extremely cute.

4) Yoshi's Transformations
In Yoshi's Island Yoshi had the ability to transform or morph into different things like helicopters and submarines. However, there were some early ideas that later got canceled of some other transformations Yoshi was going to have. This included a tree, mushroom and a plane.

I hope your learned something new about Yoshi! This is Princess Peach singing off!

Metroid: Zero-Suit Samus

Image result for zero suit samus

Hey guys! Samus here! Today I'm going to be telling you all about Samus without her Power Suit, also known as Zero-Suit Samus. If you play Super Smash Bros as often as I do, (guilty as charged!) then you are probably a little familiar with this character.
This version of Samus first appeared in Metroid: Zero Mission.  So, in Metroid: Zero Mission, you first play as Samus without her Power Suit. Samus wears the Zero Suit (also known or referenced as the Body Suit) in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Metroid Prime Hunters, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and Metroid: Other M. This suit appears several times throughout the game, when Samus is without her Power Suit, or when her Power Suit is shut down or unable to be used at the moment. As the Zero Suit is skin-tight, it allows for acrobatic motions and some pretty awesome moves. She wears it beneath her Power Suit, in case something goes wrong. I hope you enjoyed this post, and come back for more! Visit us every day to learn about Pokemon, Legends of Zelda, Mario, and more! If you want me to talk about something specific from the Metroid world, tell me in the comments below!

The Evolution Stones

Hey guys! Mudkip here, and today I have a very important announcement! THERE IS A NEW NINTENBROS! I'm not going to go into too much detail, but be ready to welcome our new member with open arms! Now lets get into it!
Image result for evolution stones
http://pixelmonhelp.weebly.com/evolution-stones.html
The evolution stones, are stones that are exactly like they sound. They can evolve certain Pokemon like Pikachu. Pikachu cant evolve unless a Thunder Stone touches him. Same with many of the eevolutions. All of them evolve this way besides Glacion, Espeon, Umbreon, Slyveon, and Leafeon. In other words, you NEED these stones in Pokemon to fill dat Pokedex. But not to worry! In Sun and Moon, there are two very easy ways to obtain these stones. One way is to find the Stone Shop on one of the islands. Here you can purchase many of the stones. OR, you can upgrade PokePolego until you unlock the caves. Here you can send your Pokemon on quests to find rare stones (COUGH EVOLUTION STONES COUGH). Also you can find my favorite stone. The everstone. That's why I haven't evolved into Marshstop. I have an everstone. Give this to a Pokemon and they wont evolve as long as they are holding it.

https://samurai-gamers.com/pokemon-sun-and-moon/get-everstone/
In other Pokemon news, if you used the code M2DESCENT you could get the mega evolution stones for Mewto X and Y. Well guys, that's all for this week. Have any of you played Breath of the Wild? I have and it's amazing. 10/10. It's now one of my favorite games. See you all next week!

Warning to All you Brave Souls

Hey guys Sheik here. Now remember like 10 minutes ago when I told you to go lick the Switch game card? DO NOT LICK THE GAME CARD! I GOT WAY TO CURIOUS AND I DECIDED TO TAKE ONE LITTLE LICK AND IT WAS NOT GOOD. IT TASTES LIKE OLD HAND SANITIZER MIXED WITH DIRT OR SOMETHING ELSE UNPLEASENT. Well I'm not gunna crush your dreams though. Do it.

The Nintendo Switch has Been Released

Hey guys! Sheik here! Now normally I would be all excited about something Zelda, but we just had a whole week about Zelda! Today, I want to talk about something other than Zelda that has just came out. Yup! The Nintendo Switch.

Now first, I must say, this is my new favorite video game console. I got my Switch on Friday and it is amazing. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do. I don't even know where to start. First, I love all of the different ways you can play. You can play with the joy cons, with the tablet, or with the remote it comes with. I personally love using the joy cons alone the best. It feel really cool to just be able to have your arms around without having to have both hands on the same controller. Now yes I know the Wii is just like that, but the Switch doesn't have all of the wires. The Switch also holds a lot of battery life. I haven't had it die on me yet and I have had some serious Zelda sessions with that thing. I also really like the charging dock because it is super easy to use.

Now before I go on, I would like to give my top three weirdest facts about the Switch.

3. If you put the joy cons on the tablet upside down, you cannot get them back out. Kind of odd right? Don't let your kids try to put them in, or you'll be short $300.

2. Some people have experienced screaming tablets. Yes that's right, you heard me. People's tablets scream at them. I have no clue why. I don't think anyone else does either.

1. Now this is by far the weirdest. Nintendo put an odd substance on the game cards that tastes terrible so that children don't lick them. Um... That's kinda.... odd. Statistics have shown that because Nintendo put the substance on, there have been an abundance of people licking their games to see what it tastes like. I myself am half tempted to do so.

Ok now that we have that over with, I must say, Breath of the Wild is crazy awesome. Now to show you how awesome it is, I will have you know it is almost better than Twilight Princess. Now you might be like, so what? Well, let me tell you, I love Twilight Princess more than I love my own dog. Just kidding (probably). Ah yes, well back to the switch, another thing I like is the downfall of the miis. I don't know, they just really creep me out. Instead, you get to pick your icon. Now, I give all of you reading this a challenge. Look up all of the icons that you can choose from. If you can guess which icon I chose, you will get a special shout out on my next post.

Well that's all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed and if you happen to lick a switch card, let me know how it tasted. Well anyways, like always check out our Instagram @thenintenbrosblog and enter your email for post notifications. Until then, bye!!!

Zelda Week: My Top 5 Favorite Things About The Legend of Zelda

Hey Guys! Sheik here! A most of you probably know, it's Zelda week! You can learn all about Zelda week in our previous posts, or on our Instagram page. Well since this is such a special occasion, I want to give my top reasons on why I love Zelda so much! Also, like always, spoilers! Well I'm not going to waste anytime here, lets start with number 5!

5
My fifth favorite thing about Zelda is the bosses and villains.  Now sure, almost every other game in the universe has villains or bosses in it but the Zelda ones are just plain awesome. Almost everyone I know who says they like Zelda tell me that Ganondarf is tying to steal the Princess. Well. No. That is not at all what the villains in Legend of Zelda do! They want world domination! They want Hyrule to burn! It is very different from trying to steal a princess named after a fruit. The bad guys in Zelda show no mercy and, they put up some pretty awesome battles. Who would expect that you get to fight a mask! I love the Zelda bosses, a lot.

4
My fourth favorite thing that I love so much about Zelda is the characters. I feel that as you really bond with them throughout your journey. Each one in every game has a different personality. Even the ones that are reincarnated over and over have a new personality in every game. I feel that they also look really cool in all the games. I love how much detail is put in to every single one.

3
My third favorite thing in the Legend of Zelda is the graphics and gameplay. First, the graphics are amazing. Now you might be like um, not really. Seriously guys for a Nintendo game these are pretty good. I mean even the 8-bit ones get me all happy inside. Don't even get me started on Breath of the Wild's graphics. I could go on for hours. I also love the gameplay. There are an abundance of temples and puzzles scattered all over the land in every game. Its almost impossible to discover everything! Beat the game? No problem, complete the side quests, or fill up your heart containers. I also love all the controls and weapons/tools you get to use throughout your quest.

2
My second favorite thing about Zelda is it's music. now out of every video game I have ever played this blows them out of the water. Now I'm not just saying that because I love the games so much, the music is amazing. I listen to it for hours and I don't get tired of it. From the themes, to the fields, to the temples, the music is amazing. All the instruments used are just amazing. I also love the fact how much music the incorporated into the game, like in Ocarina of Time, or Link's Awakening. From the trailers I have seen from Breath of the Wild, I can see it will be pretty amazing there too.

1
My favorite thing about The Legend of Zelda is the story. In every game, there is some sort of twist, or turn that leaves you in awe. Every game has it's own unique storyline, while at the same time, still tying in with the others. I love how all of the stories lock together to form a timeline. It all just fascinates me so much. I constantly watch theories about the story lines that just leave me wit my mouth open. Many games have a heartwarming story with lost of twists, and traumatic events. I think that it is a perfect mix.

Well guys I hope that you enjoyed hearing about what makes me love Zelda so much! Make sure to check out our Instagram for updates about Zelda week @thenintenbrosblog. Also enter your email for post notifications. Until then, Peace out Zelda fans.
