Breath of The Wild: Timeline Placement

Hey guys! Sheik here! Today, I want to talk about the Zelda game that pretty much everyone has been talking about! Which is of course, Breath of The Wild! I have been playing this game quite often, and may I just say, it is amazing. I absolutely love the gameplay. The storyline, on my opinion, could have had more, but it was still great. Now, today, I want to talk about where Breath of The Wild is located on the official timeline. Nintendo hasn't released any confirmation of where it actually is, but many fans have their own idea of where it is. Before I get started, like always, spoilers alert! Ok! Let's get started!

Over the course of me playing the game, I have had many many ideas of where the game could be. Just recently, I found the most likely place of the game to be. I believe this game takes place directly after Twilight Princess. Now, of course, hundreds of thousands of years have passed between them, but I find this to be the most likely place for it to be. Here is my evidence.

1) In memory #1, Zelda is appointing you head knight, when she says something, giving absolute proof that the game is in this timeline. She is telling of the many things past heroes have done. She mentions Skyward Sword and Ocarina of Time, which are present in every timeline, and then she mentions Twilight Princess. The only way the people of Breath of The Wild could have known about the events of Twilight Princess, would be if this game took place in this timeline split.

2) In almost every game, the master sword has a different scabbard. However, in this game, the scabbard looks almost identical to the one in Twilight Princess. Coincidence? I think not.

3) In Breath of the Wild, the buildings look very identical to the ones in Twilight Princess. For example, the layout of the castle, castle town, and entrances/exits match very well to the ones in Twilight Princess. Hyrule Castle, when put next to the one in Twilight Princess, looks almost identical. Many fountains also match. Also, in Gerudo desert, you can also find the ruins of Arbitor's Grounds, buried in the sand.

4) This final piece of evidence is personally the coolest to me, because this is my favorite part of Twilight Princess, which is my favorite game. One of the shrine quests require you to piece together an old monument. When you look at this, it looks EXACLY like the mirror of Twilight. This would only be possible, if it came after Twilight Princess. But wait! I know what you are all thinking. Midna shattered the mirror! It was gone forever! How can it be back? Well, it is possible that maybe this game comes before Twilight Princess, but I am not to sure on that theory.

Well guys, that's all I have for you today. I hope you enjoyed! There is some evidence that goes against this theory, but it is the one that seems most likely to me. Like always, remember to enter your email for post notifications, and follow us on Instagram @thenintenbrosblog. Until then, bye!!!
